Four Seasons Fuel is one of the top market leaders in supplying British charcoal to trade and retail outlets. We supply to both major outlets and small businesses including pubs, restaurants and outside catering companies.

Our very own charcoal is made from quality oak that is provided by local managed woodlands. We use retort systems that are set and maintained to high temperatures to produce the best quality charcoal with high carbon-content. This process ensures that the charcoal can be easily lit and cooking can be commenced within 15 minutes.

English lumpwood charcoal will give better results as it tends to have as high as 80% carbon content compared to 60% or less for imported charcoal. It is due to this that our charcoal is ready to be cooked on within 15 minutes of being lit.

At the moment, of the charcoal currently sold in our shops, only 2% is British made. The remainder is imported from various countries around the world and, whilst they may be cheaper to buy, they require barbecue lighter fuels and firelighters to ensure a better lighting process. This is not the case with British charcoal as only twisted paper is required to light.
