COFFEE LOG™ (By Bio Bean)

Premium performance, amazing price (cheaper than most other briquettes)

Coffee Logs produce more heat for your money than other fuels – and burn for much longer than wood. The thin wax coating protects the Coffee Log during transit and acts as an ignition agent.

Perfect for open fires, multi-fuel stoves and chimineas

Coffee Logs are made in the unique bio-bean coffee recycling factory in Cambridgeshire. Before Coffee Logs much of the used coffee grounds would have been sent to landfill, (where it releases large quantities of the potent greenhouse gas methane).

• 16 Coffee Logs™ per bag
• 6kg per bag
• PEFC certified, wet strength, recyclable kraft paper
• Bag dimensions – 280mm x 400mm x 140mm

What is a Coffee Log?
Coffee Logs are premium eco briquettes made from waste coffee grounds that are collected and treated rather then thrown away.
Bio-bean works with waste management companies to collect waste  coffee grounds from independent coffee shops, property groups and coffee chains  all around the UK. (Much of which would previously have been sent to landfill where it releases large quantities of the potent greenhouse gas methane). The recycle coffee grounds are made into ‘coffee bean logs’ that have a high calorific value and burn very hot.

Each Coffee Log is made from the waste coffee grounds of 25 cups of coffee. Coffee Logs smell similar to wood as they burn, and some of our customers say you can smell roasted coffee when you first open the bag.

If Coffee Logs are left burning undisturbed with restricted airflow they should burn in stoves for over an hour. They may not last quite as long in open fires.

Using Coffee Logs
1.  Place two firelighters on appliance bed and cover with kindling.
2.  Add two or three Coffee Logs to the appliance bed.
3.  Light the firelighters using matches or a lighter.
4.  Do not disturb the Coffee Logs for 15 minutes whilst they ignite. Do not use petrol or any other volatile fuel to light.
5.  When the fire is established, add more Coffee Logs as required. An extractor or ventilation may be required for indoor burning.

• Store your Coffee Logs in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.

Notes:
- Keep out of reach of children and animals. Do not eat. Coffee Logs contain a high level of caffeine which can be potentially harmful to humans and animals if ingested. Seek medical advice if swallowed.
– In the case of contact with eyes, rinse for 15-20 minutes to ensure complete removal and do not rub your eyes. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice. Do not attempt to manually remove anything from your eyes.
