Kerosene is the UK’s most popular domestic heating fuel. It burns cleanly and efficiently, performs reliably through cold winters, and its low sulphur content means less residue, lower maintenance, and a longer appliance life. Kerosene is a smart choice for oil-fired boilers, range cookers, and portable heaters.

White diesel (also known as DERV) is standard road fuel, suitable for cars, vans, HGVs, and commercial generators. Chemically identical to red diesel, the difference lies purely in the tax amount paid. White diesel is the legal diesel choice for any road-going vehicle.

Red diesel (also known as gas oil) is a lower-taxed fuel strictly for off-road and industrial use, including agricultural machinery, industrial generators, forklift trucks, boats, and heating systems in non-commercial buildings.
