Our beer gas products
We supply a complete range of dispensing gases to suit every beverage type in your cellar.
60/40 Mixed Gas
The ideal choice for beers, lagers, and lighter ales that require moderate carbonation levels.
Perfect for:
- Standard lagers and pilsners
- Light ales and pale ales
- Beers requiring a balanced carbonation level
Benefits:
- Food-grade quality for safe dispensing
- HSE tested and certified for compliance
- Delivers a smooth, consistent pour with ideal carbonation
- Prevents over-carbonation that can cause excessive foam
This blend provides just the right amount of gas pressure to dispense your beer without adding unwanted carbonation, making it the versatile workhorse of most pub cellars.
70/30 Mixed Gas
The traditional choice for ales and stouts, specifically designed to achieve that perfect creamy head.
Perfect for:
- Cask ales and bitters
- Stouts and porters (including Guinness-style pours)
- Any beer where a creamy, dense head is desired
Benefits:
- Food-grade quality meeting strict safety standards
- HSE tested and fully in date
- Creates the signature creamy texture customers expect from quality ales
- Achieves consistent pour quality, time after time / drink after drink
- Lower CO₂ content prevents over-carbonation of traditionally conditioned beers
The higher nitrogen content is what creates that distinctive cascading effect and dense, creamy head that makes a perfectly poured pint of stout so visually appealing and satisfying to drink.
100% CO₂ Gas
Pure carbon dioxide for lagers, ales, and carbonated soft drinks – the essential cellar gas for most bars.
Perfect for:
- Lagers and highly carbonated beers
- Ciders
- Carbonated soft drinks (cola, lemonade, mixers)
Benefits:
- Food-grade quality ensuring safe, clean dispense
- HSE tested and certified for compliance
- Versatile and reliable across multiple beverage types
- Essential for maintaining proper carbonation levels
- Ideal for high-volume operations serving a variety of drinks
Pure CO₂ is the backbone of most beer dispense systems and is essential for any establishment serving carbonated beverages. It’s also used in post-mix systems for soft drinks, making it one of the most versatile gases in your cellar.
How our cellar gas management works
Running a successful bar or pub means juggling countless responsibilities – monitoring gas levels shouldn’t be one of them. Our cellar gas management system takes the worry out of beverage gas supply.
- Regular scheduled deliveries: Set up a delivery schedule that matches your usage patterns. Whether you’re a busy town centre pub or a quieter village restaurant, we’ll ensure you have gas when you need it
- Stock level monitoring: We can help you track your gas usage and anticipate when you’ll need refills, preventing those emergency “we’ve run out” situations during your busiest service periods.
- Flexible ordering: Need to adjust your regular order for a special event, festival weekend, or seasonal changes? Just let us know and we’ll adapt your delivery to suit.
- Optional cylinder connections: We can advise on and supply cylinder changeover systems that automatically switch to a backup cylinder when your primary runs empty, ensuring uninterrupted service even during peak trading hours.
- Expert support: Our team understands the hospitality industry and can provide guidance on gas selection, usage optimisation, and troubleshooting dispense issues.
Choosing the right beer gas for your business
Not sure which gas or blend is right for your drinks menu? Here’s a quick guide:
Serving mostly lagers and standard beers?
Start with 60/40 mixed gas and pure CO₂. These two will cover the majority of mainstream beer and soft drink dispensing needs.
Specialising in real ales or craft stouts?
You’ll want 70/30 mixed gas to achieve those distinctive creamy heads and proper texture that discerning ale drinkers expect. Running a full bar with varied offerings? Stock all three gas types to ensure you can dispense every drink on your menu at its optimal quality – lagers, ales, stouts, and soft drinks all have different gas requirements.
Operating a high-volume venue?
Consider our cellar gas management system with regular deliveries to ensure you never run out during busy periods, and look into changeover valve systems for uninterrupted supply.
If you’re still unsure, contact our team and we’ll discuss your specific drinks menu and recommend the right gas setup for your business.
